For over twenty years, Sensodrive has been developing cutting-edge technologies for top research institutions, universities, and companies worldwide. Many of these solutions were created under strict confidentiality, but some clients have allowed us to share their projects.
We are proud to offer an exclusive glimpse into these fascinating reference projects. With the automotive industry advancing rapidly – all the way to fully automated driving – new ideas and state-of-the-art technologies are more important than ever.
Not only in simulators, but also in the remote operation of vehicles and machinery, Sensodrive’s Force Feedback solutions fully leverage their technological advantage. Whether it’s an all-terrain vehicle, an automobile, or a sensitive industrial robot, Sensodrive’s high-precision haptic control and input devices provide users with a level of accuracy and finesse in teleoperation that was previously only possible through direct manual control.

Tecnalia – Adaptive Co-Pilot System
As part of the AWARE2ALL initiative, Tecnalia developed an adaptive co-pilot system. Using Sensodrive’s SensoPedals Pro, it delivers realistic haptic feedback directly through the accelerator pedal.

SHERP - The Remote-Controlled Expedition Vehicle
For the off-road vehicle SHERP, Sensodrive developed a dedicated control unit, enabling precise remote operation of the steering, clutch, and accelerator pedal for safe teleoperation.
High-precision teleoperation with Sensodrive’s SensoWheel and SensoPedals is already supporting the deployment of autonomous trucks today. Reliable technology for a safe transition to autonomous driving.

The TELBOT® robotic system from Wälischmiller Engineering is used wherever humans cannot operate (e.g., nuclear facilities). The Force Feedback remote control perfectly combines the Wälischmiller system with Sensodrive’s SensoJoints and advanced algorithms. With two 6-axis input arms, the TELBOT® can be controlled with absolute precision, flexibility, and sensitivity.
The era of traditional steering wheels is coming to an end. With groundbreaking developments in the automotive industry, especially on the path to fully automated driving, innovative solutions are needed. Steer-by-Wire replaces the mechanical connection between the steering wheel and the wheels with electronic control – delivering greater precision, flexibility, and safety.
This technology enables a more dynamic driving experience, reduces space and weight, and opens up new possibilities for the vehicle designs of the future. The mobility of tomorrow starts today.

ROboMObil - Steer-by-Wire Innovation
The SensoStick Force Feedback joystick revolutionizes ROboMObil control. With three active degrees of freedom and precise haptic feedback, it enables intuitive and safe steering maneuvers.
Autonomous vehicles navigate traffic independently, thanks to sensors, AI, and advanced assistance systems. They enhance comfort, safety, and efficiency, representing a crucial step toward innovative, accident-free mobility.
With our unique expertise in vehicle technology and robotics, we are driving the future of autonomous driving. Our powerful SensoJoint drive units deliver unmatched torque, save space and weight, and open up entirely new possibilities for vehicle control and maneuverability.

UNICAR agil - Autonomous Vehicle of the Future
Sensodrive develops innovative steering actuators for the autonomous UNICAR Agil. Thanks to advanced SensoJoint technology, each wheel can be independently rotated up to 90°.

BMW - Autonomous Motorcycle
Sensodrive, in collaboration with the BMW Group, developed one of the first fully autonomous motorcycles – the BMW R 1200 GS steers, accelerates, and brakes on its own. Sensodrive handled the steering control.
Virtual testing plays a central role in modern vehicle development. Driving simulators and hardware-in-the-loop systems increasingly replace real-world tests, enabling efficient, safe, and cost-effective evaluation.
By seamlessly integrating into the entire development cycle, vehicle dynamics, components, and assistance systems can be tested under realistic conditions—anytime and independent of external factors. This ensures continuous, precise, and flexible simulation, reducing development time and accelerating innovation.

cosin - FTire Simulation Model
Sensodrive’s SensoWheel Force Feedback steering wheel combined with cosin scientific software’s FTire simulation model sets new standards for driving simulators, delivering a unique and authentic driving experience.

Baltic Racing Team - with SensoWheel
Sensodrive supports the Baltic Racing Team from Stralsund University with innovative technology for their new racing simulator. The high-precision SensoWheel delivers a realistic driving experience.

Kontur-2 - Force Feedback in Space
With the Kontur-2 Force Feedback joystick, a handshake with an astronaut on the ISS becomes reality – thanks to cutting-edge technology that makes touch perceptible across vast distances.

A Driving Simulator Against Amaxophobia
Millions of Germans suffer from driving anxiety. Sensodrive supports a research project by TU Munich and University of Regensburg with advanced simulator products.
